Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset Review

The most disappointing headset of 2021

Early this year, Microsoft released their own first party wireless gaming headset. It has full support for the Series systems, the Xbox One generation, and PC’s using an Xbox Wireless adapter. It also has a backup Bluetooth connection at a price point that normally doesn’t include such a feature. Finally, it has a beautiful design language that’s inspired by the stylish-yet-forgotten Surface Headphones family.

Unfortunately, they got the sound so wrong that it seems like no one tested it before putting it on shelves. And the microphone doesn’t live up to the usual standards of the high bandwidth Xbox Wireless protocol.

This is the most frustrating gaming audio product I’ve used in a long time.
