A little earlier this year, I almost loved the wired Corsair Sabre gaming mouse. It has a light weight, a comfy ergonomic shape, big thumb buttons, and excellent tracking. And, as you can read more about in my review, it also has a new “QuickStrike” zero gap button design where the plastic button housings sit right on top of the internal mechanical switches.

This button concept is among the fastest and most satisfying to click on the market, but on the wired model the plastic housings were also quite loose, causing them to rattle and slide around under my fingers when I wasn’t clicking. This one little annoyance turned a great mouse into a decent one, but I was hoping that Corsair would fix this problem on the brand new wireless model.

I’m pleased to announce that they did fix it! But they also messed up other stuff that wasn’t broken in the first place, and that makes this newer model tough to recommend at its premium price point.

Note: I bought this mouse myself at full retail price. I don’t receive a kick back or any other incentive if you buy one. I don’t use affiliate links, and my full reviews policy is right here.
