I write about games and tech, and the business and marketing behind them, with a focus on sustainability and putting consumers first. I also review games, gadgets, and headphones from that same perspective. I edit the gaming publication Analog Stick.
I've been writing about this stuff since the mid-2000s, when I wrote for a regional computer magazine in Portland, OR, before moving my writing off the page and onto the internet. I graduated in 2006 with a degree in film and video production and a minor in English literature. Along the way, I've worked in audio editing and AM radio.
No game or tech company pays me or asks me to write any of these stories, and all opinions are my own. On rare occasions, I've accepted review samples, and I disclose that in the relevant articles. I've never used affiliate links, because I believe they're the enemy of credibility.
