You can remove them and clean them in a bowl of water and a little detergent, then let them dry overnight. The Arctis ear pads even advertised being machine washable at launch.

For dust, use a lint roller, masking tape, or a simple dry cloth.

Leatherette is easier to wipe down, but can also flake off over time if not built well.
