Two of My Favorite Stupid Games Are Now on Game Pass!

Why play Halo Infinite this week when you could play something much worse?

Undoubtedly, Halo Infinite is the big Game Pass release of the week. The long-awaited sequel has massive buzz, and a huge eager player base across both Xbox consoles and PC. I have the game’s campaign installed…but I haven’t launched it yet.

Instead, I’ve redownloaded two games that I already played on different platforms last year. Two games that are much less hype-worthy than Halo, but now they have Xbox achievement points in them that I want to earn. Both of these games are about fighting hordes of enemies. Both of them are the fourth entries in long-running franchises.

And both are completely ridiculous.

Neither of these games was known to be hitting Game Pass before this week, and yet here they are, in all their dumb glory, the same week as Halo. Join me in celebrating this absurd and baffling attempt at counterprogramming.
