HyperX’s wireless headset now features some key upgrades

I’m really eager to check out the new locking ear cups that let it sit on a charge pad like this. Official marketing photo provided by HyperX.

of right now, the new HyperX Cloud Flight S is officially shipping in the United States. It’s $159, and its available from Amazon and Best Buy. The headset is an enhanced version of the HyperX Cloud Flight, and it’s compatible with both the PC and the PS4.

Features-wise, they’ve dropped the wired connection option and lighting, but added built-in surround sound virtualization, Qi Wireless Charging, and the enhanced game/chat balance control pad and mic monitoring system from the recent HyperX CloudX Flight.

I’ve got a review unit on the way to me right now, and my review will be live this Friday, February 28th. I think wireless charging is overdue in the gaming peripheral space, and I hope the trend keeps going so my desk can shed a few USB cables.
