That’s very kind of you to offer regarding the Alessandros, but I’ve already got a ton of stuff on my upcoming plate, made all the more clogged by being a week behind due to an unfortunate cold. But I’ll keep that in mind, thank you!

I frequently forget about the existence of Alessandro, and I wish there was more info out there regarding their relationship with Grado. It’s rare to see what’s essentially an endorsed modding collaboration between two companies, and I’d love to see more of that sort of crossover work in the industry. It’s never going to happen, but I can dream, haha.

I owned the Beats Studio revision 2 for a while and would have loved them…if the padding had been a bit more dense. They retain the high clamp of the solo models, and the inside of the cup had the tendency to jam into my ears. They were otherwise pretty decent. The new models have had some nice internal upgrades, but Apple’s strange reliance on the industrial designs created just prior to their takeover of Beats baffles me. I really wish that Apple would unleash their full R and D and overhaul the look and feel of Beats…or at least make the padding thicker. :)

I thought that the Beats EP was a first step in that direction, but so far, it seems I’ve been very wrong. If Apple ever has the “courage” to totally overhaul the Solo or Studio designs with an eye towards more comfort, I’ll be first in line to try one out.
