Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!
I completely agree that the line needs a refresh, and it would be interesting if they cut the Air.
Maybe then the 13-inch non-Touchbar Pro could lose its “Pro” moniker and just become a 13-inch MacBook, so that we all could stop writing the word “non-Touchbar.”
Do I dare to dream? Hahaha.
Like you I’m also a big fan of MacOS…although I do use Windows 10 extensively in my job and for gaming.
I don’t hate the 12-inch MacBook, but right now it feels like Apple does.
Every other computer in their line has gotten all the attention for three years, while the 12-inch MacBook has barely received a spec bump.
I’m sure some of this is Intel’s stagnated development on the Core M line compared to the rest of their mobile hardware, and I know that thermals are tight inside the small 12-inch chassis…but hopefully someday we’ll either see a better 4.5W chip inside the 12-inch, or an upgrade to a 10–15 W TDP platform with more aggressive throttling than the 13-inch models.
