Thanks for the reply! I enjoyed BioShock quite a bit, and not just for its visuals. I thought it had a good balance of the classic System Shock formula and fun shooter gameplay made for modern audiences. And it was cool that several of the development team came from that Looking Glass lineage. I’ve been playing games for 30 years and I used to review games professionally, and I’m sorry that I didn’t like the Prey demo as much as you did. I’m glad you have so much passion about it!

Aside from a rough launch where it had a save corrupting bug, it seems like Prey has reviewed well atoutlets I trust, and I’m sure it could use your support and your purchase. I’ll be getting it down the line when it’s a little cheaper, but honestly I still feel like the demo just showed me “Yet another immersive sim.” It’s yet another take on a slightly tired formula, in a world where Hitman and Deus Ex Mankind Divided were tragically overlooked by too many consumers. BioShock represents a better value for the average consumer if they didn’t already play it, and Prey has more appeal only to those that want something hardcore that reminds them of the old days. But they should probably play Deus Ex and Hitman first!
