Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, the RIG 800HS is exclusively a stereo headset.

Sony’s particular surround implementations are exclusive to their products though there are a few other third party headsets that support different surround modes through optical connections. Sony really wants you to buy their headsets. I talk more about this frustration here.
