Thanks for the comment and for the Twitter Follow as well! Sorry for the late reply, I normally only check my Medium comments on Fridays, and this week I’m running two days late!

In your situation I’d probably go for the PS4 Pro just because you don’t currently have access to the Sony library. The PS4 has a very strong library of exclusive games, and if you have any interest in playing them, then that’s the safest bet.

However, if you’re 100 percent content with the Xbox library, there’s no real reason to get the Pro over the X, since the X is noticeably more powerful. The gap between them is pretty large. The X performs nearly as well as my beefy gaming PC in most third party titles. The Pro is starting to show its age a little bit, and that will be more obvious if you have a 4K display.

So I’d look at the PS4 game library and decide based on that. Sony has Bloodborne, Horizon, God of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, Days Gone, etc. Also, Japanese third party games tend to run better on Sony hardware because they optimize first for that platform.

Hope that helps you out in some way! Every time I’ve tried to escape from/sell one particular platform, there’s always an exclusive that pulls me back in.
