Thanks for reading and for the reply!

The DT770 Pro 80 Ohm is an exceptional headphone. I’ve had no issue driving it out of an iPhone 6 Plus and a MacBook, so you should be okay. I’d try it without the amp before spending more money, and if you think it’s not oomphy enough, then go for the amp.

Are you okay with the 10-foot straight cord? That’s the one knock against the 80 Ohm DT770. For computer use it’s perfect, but with a phone it can be a little unwieldy unless you’re mostly seated at a desk. The 32ohm version has a much shorter cable that’s better suited to walking around, so that’s something to keep in mind.

It travels decently well. Although it doesn’t really fold or collapse down all that much, it’s still relatively compact when unextended, and I’ve shoved it into a backpack pretty frequently without issue. The included bag will protect it from dust, and the solid build quality/warranty/user-replaceable parts will take care of the rest, haha.

I hope that helps you out! I think the DT77o Pro is a really awesome headphone. Thanks again for reading my big stupid M50X article that I really wrote as a half-joke. I should probably update it again soon with more models. :) I appreciate your time!
