I one hundred percent agree with your criticism about my take on the EQ. I meant for that text to reflect that it includes a number of simple presets for quick basic selection… and you’re right that a 10-band EQ is still quite robust.

In fact, I’d wager that most users will either ignore the system entirely or go with one of the presets.

I’ll update the text to be more fair to it. I didn’t really do a good job of explaining it at all!
