Thanks for reading and for sharing your perspectives! This is a great example of just how much headphone experiences can differ from person to person.

I agree that the N1 isn’t as comfy as the other two models you mentioned, but then only a few models are!

I’ve never had an issue with the fit of Sony’s circular Xtra Bass Ear pads, even with glasses. The back of the pad tucks nicely around my pinna and the front of the pad gently sits on my ear and head. They are borderline on-ear for me and as I mentioned in the review, I did have to break them in for a while before I found the clamp acceptable on my stupidly large head.

As far as the ANC, that’s interesting! I didn’t test these on a plane, and these have had a number of software updates since I was using them, including the addition of LDAC support. Perhaps the ANC profiles were tweaked?

I often sell on my pairs of headphones after owning them for several months, and the N1 is a pair I no longer own. They do go on sale quite frequently, so maybe in the future I’ll pick up another pair and re-evaluate my experience.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’m actually happy when people disagree with me in the comments down here and share their own experiences, because it gives people more info to work with. I’m just one guy sharing one opinion at one particular moment in time!
