Reply Fridays #5

I’m still replying to comments and here you can read those

It was a quiet week this week. I mostly wrote content over on my personal site at www.worldbolding.com shameless plug.

That didn’t stop me from getting 47 Medium notifications, only a few of which are responses. I will now dig through them for your amusement.

Sgt. Hippie Cat, who has a great name, found my review where I basically deride the Sennheiser HD 200 Pro as a more expensive, featureless version of an older pair of Sennheiser headphones. Happy to have warned someone away, they’re no good!

Vincent asks about the slightly hollow sound that DTS Headphone X produces on the Arctis Pro headset. Unfortunately, I don’t have a great answer for him. That’s just part of how they’re doing room simulation effects.

Jake confirmed that the older Cloud 2 pads fit on the newer Cloud Alpha headphones. That’s good to hear!

It’s weird how the Cloud Alpha is probably not made by Takstar and yet kind of shamelessly copies their design…which was itself copied from Beyerdynamic. Imitation flattery etc.

Tomas asks about a few different pairs of Audio-Technica headphones, some of which are wired and some which are wireless. People often include both styles in their questions, and then immediately tell me that they either want or don’t want a wire. Which Tomas has also done.

I don’t mean to be critical, but uh, if you don’t want a wire…don’t shop for wired headphones? :)

Thanks for reading this week’s reply Fridays. If you’d like to see my other content on Medium it’s right here, and my twitter is here, and my weird personal web site is over here.

Stock photograph so that this will show up better on social media.
