Of that list, my favorites are the DT770’s, the M50X, and the HRM-5 and 6. I loved my time with those last two, so I guess that shows you how subjectivity is a big factor in headphone reviews!

My current favorite headphone to recommend under $150 is actually a gaming headset, the Turtle Beach Elite Atlas. It’s $99 and features most of the build, comfort, and sound from their previous $200 model.

If you’re doing any sort of voice chat it also comes with an exceptional microphone. I should have a full review of that up within the next week.

The only one I’d completely avoid on that list is the Philips 9500 because it’s been discontinued and some vendors are charging way over what it used to cost due to its increasing rarity. You also won’t get any warranty support on it.
