Logitech Zone Vibe 125 Headset Review

I bought this business/collaboration headset without a second thought when I realized that it was a secret update of one of my favorite gaming models. I normally cover gaming headsets and headphones, control peripherals, and games themselves — so a business-focused communications headset is not in my normal tech wheelhouse.

However, this time my curiosity got the better of me — but maybe I should have ignored it. The Zone Vibe 125 goes for $129 (official site here), and in the box you get the headset itself, a USB-C charging cable, a USB-A dongle with USB-C adapter, and a carrying bag that smells strangely of charcoal and vague chemicals.

I wasn’t asked by Logitech to write this article, and I don’t use affiliate links, so I don’t get a kickback if you decide to buy one.

The core design of the headset is nigh identical to the excellent Logitech G435, a $79 model I first reviewed last year and that I still own and enjoy on my personal time. Like the gaming version, the Zone Vibe 125 can connect either to its own dongle or through the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol to devices like your phone, computer, or Nintendo Switch.

The gaming-focused G435 (right) is still one of my favorites. Photo taken by the author.
