Logitech G Pro X Superlight Gaming Mouse Review

Checking in after one month with the most popular high end gaming mouse

At the tail end of 2020, Logitech pushed out an update to their excellent G Pro Wireless gaming mouse. Back then, I hadn’t tried their flagship mouse series yet. I was more than satisfied with their budget-minded G305, and also hadn’t quite yet jumped on the mouse-reviewing train that I’m now more or less no longer riding on.

The G Pro X Superlight (official site here) is one of many Logitech products that has “G Pro” in the name. I don’t love this exercise in branding nonsense, as it makes it harder for users to seek out info about each individual product without hyper-specific search terms, and it causes even more confusion when multiple products in the same category carry the “G Pro” name. There have already been two families of G Pro gaming headsets for instance, and I have no doubt there will be a third.

Logitech will be in a sticky spot if they every decide to fully iterate on the G Pro mouse naming-wise, but for now the G Pro X Superlight is their flagship gaming model. The name gives away the design goal: it’s a G Pro Wireless mouse, but lighter. Kind of.
