Listening at max volume is an easy way to provoke distortion in your chain, and not just from your headset. It could cause digital or analog clipping inside your motherboard's audio system, or the USB dongle that comes with the headset. It can even cause a distortion artifact in your own ear as your hearing tries desperately to protect you from the onslaught of sound.
When you say that "no one could listen to music like this," that's not true at all. I listen at comfortable volumes below 85dB that won't damage my hearing. This post just made me worry about the health of your ears.
These are gaming headsets designed to be driven well out of console controllers, which don't have a lot of output power. They don't need a ton of volume or power from your audio source in order to sound their best, and your ears need protecting too. You might have already caused some permanent damage to your hearing. I really hope you haven't!
