• It’s not a review. It’s an impressions piece that clearly states it’s based on my time with a demo unit and should be taken as such.
  • I’m not paid by Bose. God that’d be the day. I’m not paid by anyone, nor do I take any review units. I’m just a dude writing stuff on the internet in my spare time, based on my own personal purchases.
  • I own a pair of QC35’s and I really like them. It’s true. I’ve listened to them for 100’s of hours and I don’t regret my decision at all. They’re a slightly bass heavy headphone, and their comfort and ANC are exceptional. If you had taken a moment to click over to my review, you could see my thoughts on them. And then feel free to disagree with those as well. :)
  • The average consumer wants a bass-focused headphone and probably hasn’t even heard of Vmoda. (No offense meant to them, I think their stuff is cool though I’ve never owned any of it). You only have to look at the extreme sales of Beats products to see this. I try to keep this perspective in mind when I write stuff. Because it’s the dominant view on the market, love it or hate it. For most people, the MDR-1000X will seem bass light, and it’s more expensive than its nearest competitor. If the Sony’s were priced at $350, I personally think they’d be a much more compelling product.
  • I’m glad my old impressions piece where I didn’t love the headphones you love inspired you to make a medium account. The more the merrier!
