I just want to say thank you for finding and enjoying this piece. You are literally the sixth person I’m aware of who has done so, and the other five all read it the first day it was up. This story is my biggest single flop on Medium, and as a quirky story I’m fond of, it’s always been a bummer. I didn’t expect it to do as well as my headphone/tech/game stuff, but I also never thought it would fall straight on its face…

I miss hanging out in coffee shops too! That was one of my favorite things to do, and whenever it’s a thing I can safely do again, I’m heading back out there. I always used to sit a little distance away from everyone anyway, haha. Half of my headphones used to smell like freshly-brewed coffee, and I want that back more than I thought I would.
