I Can’t Handle These Two New Game Titles
I had other stuff I wanted to focus on today, but the video game industry has delivered me some new marketing nonsense that’s so profound and hilarious I simply must talk about it.
There’s an old misguided saying that “all press is good press,” and games frequently test the limits of this with their titles and PR campaigns. I know that it’s hard to pick the perfect moniker for a creative work; that’s why we get so many bland sequel names, and why there are now sixteen numbered Final Fantasy games alongside many spin-offs.
However, I think naming creativity can sometimes go too far, as is the case for these new announcements I simply must mock.
