I also feel that the people working on stuff should get paid. It's good to support things you like.

However, I just can't help but be cautious regarding Epic, especially in their current Fortnite era. For many years Epic made enough money every quarter to pay several times more employees than they retain. In 2022 they were valued at over $30 Billion USD. Still, they laid off a ton of people last October to balance out Tim Sweeny's overspending on failed metaverse stuff that never materialized and then turned around and got another 1.5 billion from Disney for that upcoming huge crossover.

No one is safe when there's "infinite growth" to chase.

I'd love to see in-game shops break down how much of that Battle Pass cash is actually going to pay the folks that make the hats/cosmetics and how much is going elsewhere in the company. That'd make me feel better about investing.

Epic is an anomaly for sure and support means different things to different companies. Not at all coming after you personally (I very much appreciate your regular comments and that you enjoy my content) but I always approach Epic and other giants with a healthy bit of skepticism.
