HyperX Launches Cloud Core Wireless Headset
Today, HyperX is launching the new Cloud Core Wireless gaming headset through a retail partnership with Best Buy. This $99 gaming headset is the latest in one of the peripheral market’s most famous and celebrated headset families, and now packs in full DTS Headphone: X support.
At first glance, you might think that this looks like both last year’s Cloud II Wireless and some of the older Cloud models mashed together into a new thing — and that’s exactly right. I’ll have a full review of it out a little bit later today where I discuss all the details (now live right here!), but I can already tell you I love this headset. I’ve wanted a wireless headset using the legendary Cloud design for almost half a decade, and this delivers that in an affordable package.
The headset includes a detachable noise cancelling microphone, a USB dongle, and a USB-C charge cord, and it comes in the classic HyperX black and red color scheme. It is mainly designed for PC gamers, and if used with Windows 10 or 11 it’ll automatically unlock DTS Headphone: X spatial audio inside the DTS Sound Unbound app. PlayStation and docked Nintendo Switch players can also enjoy vibrant stereo sound support.
