HyperX Fury S Speed Edition Mouse Pad Review

Gaming mouse pads are as subjective a choice as you can find in the peripheral space. Some folks like to use their raw desk, others like a full size desk mat with RGB lighting around the edges. For years, I used an old QCK mini, and then cycled onto basic boring Razer cloth models . I recently dipped my toe into fun gaming territory, and I had a good time, so I thought why not check out another popular model just for fun? Mouse pads are as much an aesthetic experience as a performance enhancement, so it’s good to mix it up every once in a while as they aren’t too expensive usually.

So, I randomly bought a HyperX Fury S Speed Edition because I’ve enjoyed many of the company’s products in the past and because I guess I like things with overlong names. The Fury S is available in a variety of different sizes, and also in a non-speed-edition flavor, which has a slightly rougher cloth surface texture. I went with the $15 “Medium” speed edition pad, and style-wise it’s clearly a HyperX product. It has a bold red color accent and a prominent logo in the corner so it’s not for those that don’t want their desk to beam with…
