Hi! Thanks for reading and for the question!
The main difference between DTS Headphone X and Razer Surround is that DTS X sounds a little more natural. A little more like speakers in the room with you. Razer’s surround, while very precise and accurate in its image, is a little more pumped up. It pushes the sound out into the room around you and accurately pans it around, but it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from speakers, more just like it’s coming from the walls.
This isn’t really an accident because DTS X was specifically designed to mimic the feel of being in a room full of nice speakers.
The big plus of Razer surround is that it’s completely free and you can download and use the basic version of it with any headphones!
