Hi! Thanks for reading and for the question.

The B1 and N1 both run off the same phone app, and as far as I know, have identical amounts of bass boost available. I didn’t test out the B1 extensively…my review is based on about a week of using the N1, on my own extensive experience owning the previous 950BT model, on what Sony publishes about the newer headphones, and also some in-store demo time with the B1.

So it’s possible that these claims are true, but I couldn’t say 100 percent certainly myself.

If you’re happy with the B1, I’d say you should just stick with it! The noise-cancelling on the N1 is nice, but it’s not going to do anything to make the bass or the volume better than your current model. I also like the slightly more subtle look of the headband on the BT/B1.

Are you using the app with the bass cranked all the way up? I found that to be a little intense myself, haha. :)

Hope that helps you out! Thanks again for reading.
