Hi! I saw the scattered posts about issues as well, but I followed the directions in the app and the only special thing I did was tap the iPhone screen every so often to keep it awake during the update process. It was still long and annoying but it worked just fine!

Hopefully I’m not the only person in the world that succeeded. :) I’m sure that others have also and that they simply haven’t then rushed to the internet to report it.

AT has claimed around various forums that the latest firmware improves Bluetooth range and performance but it was already pretty great for me before the update and I noticed no major differences. If you do end up having an issue, the headphones are still new enough that all current pairs should be covered under warranty without issue.

Thanks for reading! If you don’t have issues now you’re probably fine without the update, especially if you don’t have 45 minutes to kill while your phone slowly copies a file.
