Hello! Thanks for sharing your experiences! I’m sorry that the Cloud Revolver was too big. As a guy with a larger head, I can confirm that the fit is quite nice around my stupidly-shaped noggin, hahaha.

The Alpha indeed has a much wider range of size adjustments but you will lose the Dolby Surround dongle…unless you decide to keep the dongle to use with the Alpha and try to sell the headset itself to a friend or online to help defray the cost.

If you’re eyeing the dongle that comes with the Cloud II…it’s far inferior to the Cloud S dongle.

It’s not a true surround sound device in Windows, it just takes a stereo input and tries to upmix it to a fake surround mix instead of using the surround data for your games. The Cloud S Dolby dongle will allow you to hear the full 7.1 channel mix on PC.

Another option would be to do the exchange, then buy the Cloud Revolver S dongle separately from HyperX’s web site for $30. It’s near the bottom of that list.

Thanks again for reading and for the comment.
