The HyperX Cloud Alpha is a great pick, and unlike the Arctis Pro, it’s priced at a level that I think provides good value to the user and is very competitive with other headsets at that price. :)

That M50X article started out as a joke, and then became half-serious as I put more work into it. People ask me every day which headphone is “Better,” so I thought it would be funny to write an impossibly large article about a pair that’s good enough most people would be happy with them. In spite of the hate it’s picked up in the last year or so, the M50X is a pretty good “Standard benchmark” headphone both in features and sound.

I haven’t updated that article in a while, even though I still think about it from time to time. The original point of it, when it was more of a joke, was to show how literally impossible it often is to choose which headphone is better, something that other reviewers have also tangled with.

(I think Zeos is great even though a lot of audiophiles have turned on him).
