I seriously thought that, since the Alpha came out at the same $99 price, they were planning to phase the old Cloud II model out. I still think they should do this!

I understand having two different tiers of wireless headset with the Cloud II and Cloud Alpha wireless models, but the continued existence of the Cloud II wired model baffles me.

I'm guessing they're holding on due to the brand recognition of "Cloud II," but it was time to let that go six years ago. I think it causes a lot of market confusion and ends pushes people to buy a much older headset model by mistake.
