Avoiding the HyperX Cloud Revolver because of the headband ding is a bit silly. How many times do you find yourself reaching up to touch the headband of your headphones while listening? Let alone, touching it enough to make a tapping/dinging noise?

The headband doesn’t make dinging sounds at random, only when something runs into it. So as long as you’re not in a room with any low flying birds, you should be good. :)

You’re right that the combination of heavy bass and a wide soundstage is hard to come by, and that’s because we perceive more positional cues out of high frequencies than lower ones. So the more bass there is, the more the positional data is obscured.

It’s hard to directly compare the HRM6 to the other models you mentioned, because I’ve sold all of them out of my personal collection in order to continue to afford more headphones. The HRM6 and the Alpha have a similar “clean audiophile” signature, and the 100AAP has a slightly more consumer-friendly sound.
