Ah, interesting! I knew about updating the controller firmware, but I didn’t know that the adapter could also be updated in this way.

Unfortunately, it looks like I already have the latest version for each. However, that gives me hope that if this is indeed a software issue, then there’s a way to fix it.

A friend of mine Daven Mathies let me know he’s also had some sound weirdness recently, so that made me feel a little less crazy.
